Mystic Mountain

There was a bear on the sidewalk that I passed everyday while walking to and from school. I never had the guts to pick it up. I know it sounds weird, but when you live in a family of germaphobes, you are kinda forced to be cautious. Anyway, one day, I heard a noise coming from the bear, It was a scream! Or maybe just a shout. Fine it was a whisper. I miss you. It said. I had a flashback, I was hugging the bear with all my strength when I was four. I picked it up and smiled.

“AHHHH!” I woke up screaming. But it wasn't a normal scream, it was more of a constipated donkey call. I have woken up screaming before, in fact it was kind of a routine. I woke up screaming every morning before a big audition. And then it struck me, maybe i’m losing my voice! I can't be losing my voice! I have a big audition! I tried to sing. It was completely out of tune . Honey! I need Honey! I ran to the kitchen and drank a whole jar of honey, It wasn't working! What am I going to do now?

“Let’s get going!”, Mom shouted from the car. I waved to my friends as I walked to the car. “MOM! WHAT IS THAT!?”, I complained. Mom sighed, “Honey, why are you acting like this?” she turned around. “Hmm… appears to be an egg…” the car lights started flickering and turned… black? The egg started hopping up and down. “MWA HAHA!”, the egg screamed, “ I AM ALL POWERFUL!” I looked at it with disgust, and then it started to grow eyes… I was so startled, I dropped my bag… right on the egg. “Oh well…” I said, satisfaction in my voice.
